Extracts from an ARTICLE about Content Marketing

ContentIsKING

I wrote this killer article as my audition tape for Writing Bunny, a content company, and of course I got the job. I know I promised not to brag, but hey… the article is as concrete as a hammer to the forehead and showcases my knowledge of the thème du jour: Content Marketing. My new specialty. You should read the whole thing but, since everyone is so busy these days, here are a few selected fragments: Continue reading

Announcing a new dawn for this blog (drumroll)

Listen: I have to change gears with this blog. There’s no other way around it.

As I’ve told you before (once, twice) this publication’s objective is to serve as a living and breathing CV to get jobs as a writer, and it worked. The thing is, terrible occurrences started happening when I announced it. If you get one thing from this blog let it be this: don’t brag. It’s bad luck. As soon as I did, the matrix started glitching and in a span of two weeks those two jobs vanished into thin air. I’m not giving any details, I’m a gentleman after all, but I’ll say this: it wasn’t my employers fault nor mine, it was something in the air. Bad juju. Weird vibes.

So yeah, I have to change gears, and the guides to Venezuelan Art (one, two) are the guiding posts I’ll follow from now on. I’ll still use this blog as my CV, but I won’t talk about my paid work anymore. You should still hire me though.

In your face, world.

For the untrained eye it would seem like this blog is failing. I opened it a year ago and my posts have zero traction, I’ve only gathered a few followers and I seldomly update it. The detail you’re all missing has always been clear and in the open, the objective of this publication is to find honest jobs for me out there in the wilderness of the Internet. I announced it. Twice. In that regard, the success is evident. I’ve been working, and that’s the main reason things have been so quiet around here.

Examples and stories after the jump:  Continue reading

Honesty is…

This blog exists because I need work.
Paying jobs as a writer.
You should hire me and compensate me in Dollars or Bitcoin.

A little about me: I spent the last seven years of my life sculpting my first novel, “La Tormenta”, while my country, Venezuela, fell to pieces around me. The writing process was challenging enough, the hardest endeavour I’ve endured by far, and I also had to deal with devaluation over devaluation, working for a shrinking salary, shortages of everything that’s sacred, all kind of strikes and protests and roadblocks set on fire. Also, people just yapping on and on about all that and the latest sporting event, instead of listening to me whine about my work.

I also had very noisy neighbors.

So, not to brag, but I’m basically indestructible and kind of a Superhero.
In related news, in the downtime I also became a sorcerer.

And now, you can have me as part of your team. Hire me.

So, I’m writting in english for the first time in my carreer. Competing on the widest market on the Internet, which sounds logical and I suppose I should have done it sooner. I love the spanish language with a passion, but those people in my country, Venezuela, never really got me. I’m not hurt by it and I’m not complaining. My worldwide-cuttingedge-alienlike sensibility was too much for them and that’s alright. But with you, that’s another story. I finally found my audience.

So, you know?, hire me.

P.S. I also need followers and likes, you know how employers are with that shit. So, you know? Tell your friends I arrived.
